I'm currently an Assistant Professor with the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City at University of Macau.

Before joining University of Macau, I worked as a postdoctoral scholar in Energy, Controls, and Applications Lab, University of California, Berkeley (supervised by Prof. Scott Moura) and a research affiliate with the Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts Division, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for one year.

I received my Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University in Jan. 2018 (supervised by Profs. Yonghua Song, Zechun Hu, and Scott Moura) and Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the same university in July 2013. From Jan. 2016 to Jan. 2017, I was an exchange student researcher in Energy, Controls, and Applications Lab, University of California, Berkeley (supervised by Prof. Scott Moura).

My research interests span the areas of operational research, electrical and civil (transportation) engineering. I'm excited to carry out interdisciplinary research that can provide policy makers, researchers, and practitioners with valuable insights on building & managing future sustainable cities. Currently, I've been focusing on interface of power and transportation systems, grid integration of distributed energy resources, internet of things for smart energy.

Univ. of Macau and Tsinghua Univ. Joint Postdoc Program

Aug 09 2019, our postdoc Dr. Dongdong ZHANG has received the "UM Macao Postdoctoral Fellowship (Class A)."

Aug 05 2019, Dr. Dongdong ZHANG graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University has joined our group as a postdoctoral scholar.

July 12 2019, My supervisor and "boss" of our lab, Prof. Yonghua Song, has been elected member of Academia Europaea (Academy of Europe). Check the news.

April 2019, I will join the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City at University of Macau as an assistant professor (tenure track) in April 2019.
